Heil Sound RS-1 Boom Riser Mount
A boom clamped flat to a desk has to swing across everything already on it. The RS-1 raises the pivot nearly twelve inches, so the arm travels up and over a mixer, a monitor, or a rack of outboard rather than through it. That single change is often the difference between a boom that gets used and one that gets unbolted.
The stem bore takes a 1/2 inch Heil boom and carries a brass insert, so the arm rotates without the squeak a bare steel bore develops. Tighten it and the boom locks where you left it. It fits the PL2T, HB-1, and SB-2 booms, measures 11 7/8 inches tall by 3 inches wide, and mounts to a desk or tabletop with the three supplied screws.
