Crestron MMX-6-USB 6-Channel USB Microphone Mixer

The MMX-6-USB gets six dynamic or condenser microphones into a computer without a rack-mount console. Each of the six balanced inputs has its own switchable 48V phantom supply, a 90 dB screwdriver-adjustable level control and a three-position bus assign switch that routes it left, right or to both sides of the stereo output. A bicolour LED per channel shows signal presence in green and clipping in red, with the red onset set 2 dB below full scale so there is warning before the channel actually clips.

Both outputs run at once and carry the same content: stereo USB 2.0 at 48 kHz 16-bit for direct connection to a Mac or Windows machine, and a balanced line-level output on a 5-pin detachable terminal block at up to 7.75 Vrms. A switchable 100 Hz low-cut filter at the output cleans up HVAC rumble. The chassis is Crestron's Integrator Friendly Enclosure medium form factor, which stacks with other IFE devices and mounts to a surface or a 35 mm DIN rail with the included bracket; the RMK-IFE-1U kit racks several in 1RU. All controls are screwdriver adjustable so a commissioned setting stays put.
