Blackmagic ATEM Constellation 8K

The ATEM Constellation 8K sits at the top of Blackmagic's live switcher line and collapses an entire production rack into 2RU. It takes 40 12G-SDI inputs, each with its own standards converter so every camera, player and computer locks to the program format, and feeds 24 independently assignable 12G-SDI aux outputs. Working in Ultra HD it gives you 4 M/E, 16 advanced chroma keyers, 4 downstream keyers, 2 SuperSource compositors, 4 DVEs with 3D borders and drop shadows, and 4 media players. Switch it to 8K and those resources combine into a native 8K switcher, where the 40 inputs become 10 quad-link 12G-SDI 8K inputs.

Audio runs through a 156-channel Fairlight mixer with 6-band parametric EQ plus expander, gate, compressor and limiter, fed by two 1/4 inch jacks, 32-channel MADI in and out over BNC, and a 5-pin XLR talkback line. Four Ultra HD multi viewers, a reference input for Tri-Sync or black burst, and a front-panel HD LCD with 42 emergency-switching buttons round it out. Two internal 100-240V AC supplies give full power redundancy at 300W, and the switcher installs in 2 rack units at 18.52 lb. An optional ATEM 2 M/E or 4 M/E hardware panel drives it.
