Martin VDO Sceptron 40 LED Video Batten
The VDO Sceptron 40 is the widest-pitch member of the family, eight RGB pixels spaced 40 mm apart across a 320 mm bar. The short length makes it the practical unit for building irregular grids and wrapping small scenic shapes, and the wide pitch keeps the pixel count, the data load and the cost down on jobs where the viewing distance is long enough that finer spacing would never be resolved. Output is 187 lumens per metre calibrated at 62 cd per metre.
The bar shares the Sceptron platform end to end: 16 bits per color, a 120 by 120 degree viewing angle, 1001 Hz standard refresh with a 4004 Hz high-refresh mode, and control by direct DMX, the Martin P3 system controller, or a hybrid of the two. Power and data run together on a 6-pin IP66-rated BBD connector at 48 VDC, and the 320 mm unit draws 2.5 W at full intensity. The extruded aluminium housing is IP65 rated for outdoor use. This listing is the 320 mm unit, P/N 90357670; a 1000 mm version, P/N 90357675, is also stocked.
