Martin Exterior Wash Series Diffuser Kit

Martin Exterior Wash fixtures ship with a tight 7 or 10 degree native beam because a facade lighting scheme is usually aimed rather than spread. The diffuser kit is how that beam gets opened up on site: a glass diffuser and an aluminium bezel with fixing screws that mount over the front of the fixture and change the distribution without touching the optics inside.

Each kit is sized to one fixture series, so a 100 Series kit will not fit a 200 or 300 Series head, and the diffuser pattern is chosen at order time. Narrow and medium kits widen the beam progressively, wide opens it further, and the asymmetric kit throws the light off-axis for grazing a wall from close to its base. Because the parts go on the outside of the fixture, the same head can be re-aimed and re-diffused later in a scheme without being taken off the wall.
