Martin MAC Aura XB LED Wash Moving Head
The MAC Aura XB is the brighter version of the wash head that made the Aura effect a fixture of its own. Nineteen 15 W RGBW LEDs sit behind a 1:6 zoom that runs 9.0 to 59.1 degrees, and a separate ring of thirty 0.3 W RGB LEDs washes the front of the head to give the camera and the audience a second, independently controlled layer of color. Peak intensity at the narrow end is 220,000 cd, and the fixture puts out 6,000 lumens.
Color mixing offers calibrated, extended and raw modes with a 2,500 to 10,000 K correlated color temperature range, so a rig of Aura XBs can be matched to each other or opened up for saturated looks. The head weighs 6.5 kg, which keeps truss loading and hang time down on a busy tour. Control is 14 or 25 DMX channels with RDM over 5-pin XLR, power is powerCON TRUE1 at 100 to 240 V drawing 400 W maximum, and each fixture ships with an M12 rigging bolt. Black and white housings are both stocked.
