Martin JEM AF-1 MkII DMX Effect Fan, 115V
The AF-1 MkII is the compact effect fan that most rental stock is built around, used to move fog into a beam, lift fabric and hair on camera, or push haze evenly across a stage. A 12 inch sealed axial motor runs 200 to 2500 rpm and moves up to 1,815 cubic metres per hour, or 1,083 CFM. The low end of that range matters as much as the top: the fan stays controllable and responsive down at walking-pace airflow rather than jumping from nothing to full blast.
Control is a single DMX channel to ANSI E1.11, with 3-pin and 5-pin locking XLR for data and a 3-pin XLR remote input that accepts up to 50 m of cable. Noise at maximum output is 70 dBA. The US version runs 100 to 130 V drawing 1.5 A at 110 V for 175 W. The fan measures 320 by 350 by 176 mm and weighs 8.5 kg, and it ships with an analog timer remote and 3 m cable, a hardwired NEMA 5-15P power cable and a multi-function bracket with hardware for floor, truss or wall mounting.
