Fostex T50RPmk4g Planar-Magnetic Gaming Headphones

The T50RPmk4g puts the studio RP driver in front of a game. It is the same fourth-generation planar diaphragm as the T50RPmk4, with the same 28 ohm impedance and 97 dB/mW sensitivity, which matters here because a controller headphone jack has to drive it directly. Planar transducers are fast, and positional cues in a mix survive that speed better than they do through a soft dynamic driver.

The response is quoted from 10 Hz to 40 kHz and the headphone takes up to 3,000 mW, so a desktop amp is an option rather than a requirement. Symmetrical housings let the detachable cable exit either side, and the 330 g weight sits on the same low-resilience pads as the studio model. A 2 m cable and a 3.5 mm to 6.3 mm conversion connector are included.
