Fostex T60RPmk2ai Semi-Open Planar-Magnetic Headphones with Aizome Indigo Finish

The T60RPmk2ai is the T60RPmk2 with its earcups finished in aizome, the Japanese natural indigo dyeing craft. The dye is worked into the wood rather than sprayed onto it, so no two pairs carry the same depth of colour and the grain still reads through. Underneath, the transducer is the fourth-generation RP planar diaphragm, 28 ohms at 96 dB/mW, taking up to 3,000 mW.

The response is quoted from 10 Hz to 40 kHz, matching the standard mk2, and the finished headphone weighs about 398 g without its cable, a little more than the plain mahogany version. The 2 m supplied lead splits to a 3.5 mm 2-pole plug at each cup and a 3.5 mm 3-pole plug at the source, with a 6.3 mm adapter and a dedicated pouch included.
