Fostex ET-RP4.4BL 2.0 m Balanced Cable for RP Headphones

This is the longer of Fostex's two 4.4 mm balanced leads for the RP headphone line. At 2.0 metres it reaches a desktop amplifier from a seated position, where the shorter version is aimed at a portable player in a pocket. The conductor is oxygen-free copper in a PVC sheath, and the 4.4 mm five-pole Pentaconn plug lets a balanced output drive each channel on its own pair.

It weighs 44 g and Fostex lists it for the T50RPmk4 and T60RP. Going balanced on an RP planar is worth doing where the amplifier supports it: the driver is a low-impedance load, and removing the shared ground return is the cheapest improvement available to it.
