Fostex T50RPmk4g+ Planar-Magnetic Gaming Headset with Microphone

The T50RPmk4g+ is the gaming RP headphone with a microphone added to the cable. The transducer side is unchanged from the T50RPmk4g: a fourth-generation RP planar diaphragm at 28 ohms and 97 dB/mW, quoted from 10 Hz to 40 kHz, taking up to 3,000 mW. What is new is the supplied 2 m cable, which carries an electret condenser element so voice and monitoring travel on one lead into a single 4-pole jack.

The mic element is omnidirectional and rated at -37 +/- 3 dB with a 2.2 kohm impedance, which is a normal load for a PC or console input. Adding the mic cable brings the headset to about 370 g, of which roughly 40 g is the cable itself. The housings stay symmetrical, so the lead can be run down whichever side keeps it clear of a keyboard.
