ESE ES-185F GPS Master Clock/Time Code Generator
The ES-185F is a GPS-disciplined master clock and time code generator built around a 12-channel GPS receiver and a nine-digit .56" yellow LED display. It generates SMPTE-LTC/EBU, ESE, IRIG-B, and ASCII (RS-232 and USB) time code along with a 1 PPS pulse-per-second output, giving a broadcast or timing facility one satellite-locked reference to drive clocks, code readers, and logging gear.
A universal 90-264 VAC supply powers the 1.75" rack enclosure. Automatic daylight saving correction, time zone offset, and a +/- 10 second offset are set over RS-232 or USB with ESE's downloadable PC control panel, and user settings are held in flash memory with coin-cell GPS time backup. A GPS lock LED and TTL output report sync status. Optional 10 MHz reference input (EX10) and OCXO oscillator (OCXO) extend holdover accuracy. It ships with an indoor/outdoor antenna and 13 ft cable.
