ESE ES-188F NTP Referenced Master Clock/Time Code Generator
The ES-188F is a 1RU master clock and time code generator that references a user-selected NTP server over its RJ-45 port (IPv6-capable, with authentication support) instead of GPS, so it can hold accurate time indoors or anywhere a network connection reaches. Once locked, its front-panel nine-digit .56" yellow LED display shows day of year, hour, minute, and second at a glance from across a control room or equipment rack.
It drives SMPTE/EBU LTC, ESE, IRIG-B, and ASCII (RS-232 and USB) time code simultaneously, plus a 1PPS output for downstream sync gear. Setup and configuration run through RS-232, USB, or an embedded web interface, settings and time survive power loss via flash memory and a coin-cell backup, and it corrects for daylight saving automatically. A universal 90-264 VAC supply, optional 10 MHz reference input, and optional OCXO oscillator round out the rack-friendly design.
