Tightrope Cablecast CBL-SX2HD-530-UPG10 Two-Channel HD Video Server Upgrade

The Cablecast SX2HD (CBL-SX2HD-530) is the two-channel HD member of the SX line, a multiformat playout server that airs two independent SDI/HD-SDI channels with automatic up- and down-conversion between SD and HD. It plays out HD formats such as DVCPRO HD, XDCAM, H.264, IMX and ProRes without transcoding, and it bundles Cablecast Automation, scheduling, channel branding and Carousel Server software. This SKU is the UPG10 upgrade configuration, priced for operators moving up from an earlier Cablecast server.

The server is a 3RU chassis with front-accessible drives, carrying 16TB of RAID5 content storage plus a 250GB RAID1 system volume. It works entirely in the digital domain with SDI/HD-SDI in and out and AES/EBU or SDI embedded audio, and it runs on Windows 7 Professional with an RS-232 serial control port and included control-module software.
