Tightrope Cablecast CBL-SX2HD-530 Two-Channel HD Video Server

The Cablecast SX2HD is a high-definition video server that gives a station two SDI/HD-SDI output channels and one SDI/HD-SDI encoder channel with embedded audio, all digital with no analog path. It plays a broad range of SD and HD codecs with no transcoding required, so producers can hand in files in almost any common format and have them schedule and air, and it up-converts SD to HD or down-converts HD to SD automatically for whichever channel it is feeding. It runs Cablecast Automation with Carousel Server software so playout, branding, and scheduling live in one web interface.

The server is built around 16TB of RAID5 content storage plus a 250GB RAID1 system drive in a 3RU chassis with front-accessible drives, carries AES/EBU and SDI audio, and offers RS-232 serial device control with the control module software included. It supports up to 15 Carousel channels for integrated bulletin-board branding.
