Tightrope Cablecast CBL-SX4-530-UPG15 Four-Channel Video Server Upgrade

The Cablecast SX4 (CBL-SX4-530) is the four-channel member of the SX line, a multiformat SD playout server that airs four independent channels with both composite and SDI in and out. It plays virtually any format submitted by producers, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, H.264, DVCAM, DVCPRO, DVCPRO50, DV, AVI and IMX, without transcoding, and it includes Cablecast Automation, scheduling, channel branding and Carousel Server software. This SKU is the UPG15 upgrade configuration, priced for operators moving up from an earlier Cablecast server.

The server is a 3RU chassis with front-accessible drives, carrying 8TB of RAID5 content storage plus a 250GB RAID1 system volume. It provides four composite and four SDI outputs, two composite and two SDI inputs, and stereo balanced XLR plus SDI embedded audio. It runs on Windows 7 Professional with an RS-232 serial control port and included control-module software, and supports 15 Carousel channels of bulletin board.
