Tightrope Cablecast CBL-SVR430 Automation and Playout Server

The Cablecast Pro SVR430 is the automation and scheduling server at the center of a Cablecast station. Running Cablecast Automation with Carousel Server software, it lets an operator input program information once and then drag and drop programs onto a schedule from a single web interface. From that one place it controls the SX video servers, routing switchers, downstream keying, legacy decks, and the Carousel bulletin board, and it can publish the same schedule to Carousel signage and to the web.

This is the controller rather than a video server itself, so it pairs with Cablecast SX playout hardware to put a channel on air. It ships in a 1RU front-accessible chassis on Windows Server 2008 R2 with a 500GB RAID1 system drive, offers one RS-232 and eight RS-232/422 serial control ports with an optional control module, and scales to more than 100 Carousel channels.
