Tightrope Cablecast CBL-SX2-530-UPG10 Two-Channel Video Server Upgrade

The CBL-SX2-530-UPG10 is an upgrade package that brings an existing Cablecast station onto a current-generation SX2 automation and video server. The SX2 is a two-output, one-input multi-format server, giving two playback channels and one record channel, with both SDI outputs carrying embedded audio and composite outputs plus balanced XLR analog audio, so it drops into a station running an SD SDI or composite plant.

It encodes MPEG-2 in both 4:2:0 and 4:2:2 profiles up to 50 Mb/s as well as DV25, and plays back MPEG-2, MPEG-4, DV, Windows Media, QuickTime and H.264. Cablecast scheduling, automation, channel branding and Carousel server software are included, so the server runs playout and on-air graphics together. As an upgrade SKU it is purchased against an existing SX2-class system.
