Tascam DR-70D 4-Channel Audio Recorder for DSLR / Video
The DR-70D mounts above or below a camera and records four channels at once through balanced XLR/TRS combo inputs with switchable 24V/48V phantom power, so a boom and a pair of lavs can all run into camera-ready audio instead of a scratch track. Tascam's HDDA mic preamps keep equivalent input noise down around -120 dBu, and a built-in 4-in/2-out mixer lets it output a stereo mix to the camera while the four discrete channels record separately as a safety and editing backup.
Dual recording mode captures a second set of files at a different level in case a channel clips, and a slate tone generator gives editors a clean sync reference across multiple cameras. A five-position low-cut filter (40 to 220 Hz) tames handling noise and HVAC rumble, and two built-in omni mics cover a scratch track or an ambient safety channel with no cabling at all.
