Tascam SS-CDR250N Networked CD, SD and USB Recorder

The SS-CDR250N records and plays to SD, USB and CD in one 2U chassis, at up to 96 kHz and 24-bit. Two SD card slots run in mirror mode for a redundant capture or relay mode for an unattended long recording, which is the requirement for a council chamber or a broadcast logger.

An FTP client uploads finished files to a server automatically and can pull audio down for playback, and an event list schedules recording, playback and transfer by time of day so the unit runs without an operator. Balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA analog I/O are both fitted alongside AES/EBU at 44.1, 48 and 96 kHz, and a ducking function drops playback level when the input rises.
