Sony HKCU-REC55 Recording Option (HDCU-5500 / HDCU-3500)

The HKCU-REC55 adds an internal recording function to the HDCU-5500 and HDCU-3500 camera control units, so the CCU records the live camera feed with no separate recorder and no cabling between the two. In an OB vehicle that is rack space and setup time saved, and files transfer in real time during the record rather than after it.

It records 4K and HD simultaneously, which is what an SR Live show needs when HDR 4K and SDR HD go out at once from HDC-5500 or HDC-3500 cameras. The board brings USB 3.0 and 10Gb fibre interfaces for direct transfer to a portable SSD or NAS. Record start/stop and networked transfers can be driven from PWA-RCT1 control software, which needs the additional PWAL-RCT50 licence.
