The Sony HXCU-FZ90 Camera Control Unit (CCU) is a powerful 4K/HD control solution designed specifically for the Sony HXC-FZ90 studio camera, delivering reliable signal processing, power, and system integration for professional broadcast and live production environments. Supporting multiple frame rates up to UHD 4K60p, the HXCU-FZ90 outputs pristine video over both 12G-SDI and 3G-SDI, making it ideal for sports, studio, and event production workflows.

Connected to the HXC-FZ90 via its LEMO connector and a separately available optical fiber cable, this CCU supplies camera power, manages video signal processing, and provides seamless interfacing with external broadcast equipment. When paired with the optional Sony HXCE-FZ90 fiber extension unit, the system can extend signals up to 6.21 miles, ensuring flexibility for large-scale productions and remote camera placement.

Multiple Frame Rate Support
The HXCU-FZ90 supports UHD 4K video at 50p, 59.94p, and 60p over 12G-SDI, along with 1080p output at 50p, 59.94p, and 60p over 3G-SDI. Its advanced processing also enables 1080 PsF at 23.98, 24, and 29.97, providing compatibility with a wide range of broadcast standards.

Optional 4K & HDR Future-Proofing
With an optional software upgrade, the HXCU-FZ90 enables 4K output and 4K HDR support, operating within the BT.2020 color space and supporting HLG and S-Log3, allowing producers to match the desired creative look while preparing for future HDR workflows.

Long-Distance Fiber Extension
Add the optional HXCE-FZ90 extension unit to transmit high-quality video signals up to 6.21 miles over single-mode LEMO fiber, or carry both signal and power over short-range connections up to 9.84 feet, offering maximum deployment flexibility.
