Sony RX1R III Full-Frame Compact Camera with 35mm F2 ZEISS Lens

The RX1R III is a full-frame camera with a fixed ZEISS Sonnar T* 35mm F2 lens designed as one optical system with its 61.0 megapixel back-illuminated Exmor R sensor, which is how it draws resolution and bokeh a zoom cannot match from a body that fits in a coat pocket. The BIONZ XR engine drives 693-point phase-detection autofocus down to EV-4 with recognition for people, animals, birds, insects, cars, trains and aircraft.

A macro ring on the barrel switches to close focus from 14 to 29 cm, and Step Crop Shooting crops the 35 mm frame to two tighter angles of view so the camera behaves like three focal lengths. Stills record as JPEG, HEIF or RAW to a UHS-II SD slot; video is 4K 30p XAVC S with four-channel LPCM. The 3.0-type 2.36 million dot touchscreen sits on a 498 g body measuring 113.3 x 67.9 x 87.5 mm, and the NP-FW50 battery is rated for about 270 to 300 shots. Lens cap, shoe cap, eyepiece cup and shoulder strap are included.
