Shure SLXD2+B87A
The SLXD2/Beta 87A is the SLX-D handheld transmitter fitted with the Beta 87A interchangeable cartridge, a supercardioid electret condenser tuned for lead vocals. Where a dynamic capsule stays warm and forgiving, the Beta 87A brings the detail, airy top end, and presence that let a solo voice cut through a dense mix. The tight supercardioid pattern rejects monitors and stage bleed for strong gain-before-feedback on a loud stage, all carried over the SLX-D platform's transparent 24-bit digital audio and extended 20 Hz to 20 kHz range.
Transmitter and receiver pair over IR scan and sync for fast setup in busy RF conditions, and the rugged metal body survives nightly use. It runs up to 8 hours on two AA batteries, or the optional SB903 lithium-ion rechargeable adds precise metering of charge and battery health. Available in G58 (470-514 MHz), H55 (514-558 MHz), and J52 (558-616 MHz) frequency bands.
