Shure 565SD
The Shure 565SD is the classic Unisphere cardioid dynamic vocal microphone, the mic whose silhouette defined a generation of stages. Its cardioid pattern focuses on the voice directly in front of it and turns down the wash of the room, the monitors, and the PA, which keeps feedback in check when the level climbs. The tailored 50 to 15,000 Hz response is shaped for speech and singing, giving a vocal presence without harshness.
A silent magnetic reed on/off switch, with a lock-on option, lets a performer or an operator cut the channel without a click. Selectable dual-impedance operation matches the 565SD to either a standard low-impedance mic input or a high-impedance input, so it drops into older and current consoles alike over a 3-pin XLR connection.
