Shure MX392Boundary Microphones
The MX392/C is a low-profile Microflex boundary microphone that sits flat on a conference table, lectern, or stage floor and picks up the talkers in front of it. Its cardioid cartridge favors sound arriving from the front and rejects noise off the rear, which keeps room reflections and neighboring conversations out of the mix. The electret condenser element gives clean, uncolored speech across the vocal range, and the cartridge is interchangeable with supercardioid and omnidirectional versions when the room calls for a different pickup.
A 12 foot attached, unterminated cable runs to the mixer or wall plate for a hardwired install, and the mic draws 11 to 52V phantom power from that connection. A programmable membrane switch with a status LED lets a presenter mute or talk at a touch, while logic input and output pins tie the microphone into an automatic mixer or control system for muting and LED control.
