Shure MX393 S
The MX393/S is the supercardioid version of Shure's Microflex boundary microphone, a slim surface-mount condenser built to lie flush on a conference table, lectern, or altar and hold its own against a live room. The supercardioid cartridge concentrates pickup on the talker directly in front of it and rejects sound from the sides and rear, which keeps room noise and loudspeaker bleed out of the mix and gives an installer more gain before feedback. The condenser cartridge is interchangeable, so the same base can move to a cardioid or omnidirectional pattern as the application changes.
A programmable membrane switch with a logic-control LED covers mute and push-to-talk and integrates with an automatic mixer or control system. The mic terminates in a 12 foot attached XLR cable and runs on standard 11-52V phantom power.
