Shure MX392 S
The MX392/S is the supercardioid version of Shure's Microflex boundary microphone, a slim surface-mount condenser built for conference tables, lecterns, altars, and distance-learning rooms. Its low-profile housing sits nearly flush with the surface while the supercardioid cartridge keeps pickup tight on the talker in front of it and rejects sound arriving from the sides and rear, which helps hold down room noise and feedback in a live space.
A programmable membrane on/off switch with a matching status LED lets a presenter mute or unmute silently, and logic input/output terminals let the mic tie into an automatic mixer or control system. It ships with an attached 3.7 m (12 ft) unterminated cable, runs on standard phantom power, and accepts interchangeable cardioid, supercardioid, and omnidirectional cartridges if the coverage pattern needs to change later.
