Shure MX412SE C

The MX412SE/C is the cardioid, 12 inch member of Shure's Microflex gooseneck line, a slim electret condenser mic built for lecterns, pulpits, and conference tables where speech has to sound clear and stay intelligible. The cardioid cartridge favors the person addressing the mic and turns away side and rear sound, which controls room reflections and loudspeaker bleed. The 12 inch gooseneck plus a ratcheting joint lets a presenter aim the capsule once and leave it, while the interchangeable cartridge design means the same base can take a supercardioid or omnidirectional element.

This SE model adds an in-line preamp with a balanced, transformerless output for clean gain over long cable runs and better immunity to hum and RF. A built-in shock mount isolates the capsule from surface vibration and desk thumps, and the mic ships with a flange mount, a snap-fit foam windscreen, and a 10 foot cable. It runs on standard 11-52V phantom power.
