Shure MX412D C
The MX412D/C is a 12 inch Microflex gooseneck microphone on an attached desktop base, made for lecterns, conference tables, and council desks where a talker needs a fixed mic in front of them. Its cardioid cartridge aims at the presenter and rejects sound from the sides and rear, keeping room noise and loudspeaker bleed out of the pickup. The electret condenser element gives clean, uncolored speech, and the cartridge is interchangeable with supercardioid and omnidirectional versions for different seating layouts.
The desktop base carries the preamp and connects through a 10 foot cable with XLR output, drawing phantom power from the mixer. A programmable membrane switch with a status LED lets the speaker mute or talk at a touch, and logic input and output pins tie the mic into an automatic mixer or control system. A snap-fit foam windscreen ships in the box to tame plosives and breath noise.
