Shure MX412D S
The Shure MX412D/S is a Microflex 12-inch gooseneck condenser microphone on an attached desktop base, built for lecterns, council chambers, and conference tables where a talker speaks from a fixed position. The supercardioid cartridge narrows the pickup to the person directly in front of the gooseneck, rejecting off-axis room noise and improving gain before feedback. The flexible 12-inch neck positions the capsule close to the mouth while the weighted base keeps the mic planted on the tabletop.
The desktop base carries a programmable membrane switch and LED for mute or push-to-talk control, plus logic functions that let the mic work with an automatic mixer for gated operation. A 10-foot XLR cable is attached to the base, and the balanced, transformerless output resists hum and RF interference. The interchangeable cartridge can be swapped for cardioid or omnidirectional coverage, and the mic ships with a snap-fit foam windscreen.
