Shure MX393 O
The Shure MX393/O is a Microflex surface-mounted electret condenser boundary microphone with an omnidirectional cartridge, designed to lie flat on a conference table or floor and pick up voices from every direction around it. The 360-degree pattern makes it a natural fit for boardroom tables, distance-learning rooms, and group discussions where talkers sit all around the mic. Sitting on a boundary surface, it gains roughly 6 dB of sensitivity and a better direct-to-reverberant ratio, and its low-profile shell stays out of the sightline.
A programmable silent membrane switch and green LED cover mute or push-to-talk operation, while logic input/output terminals let the mic integrate with an automatic mixer. The MX393 uses a 12-foot detachable cable that terminates in a 3-pin XLR audio connector, and it runs on standard 11 to 52V phantom power. The interchangeable cartridge can be changed to cardioid or supercardioid if the room calls for tighter pickup, and the mic ships with a set of five adhesive rubber pads for permanent installation.
