Shure GLXD2+/B87A
The GLXD2+/B87A is the handheld transmitter for Shure's GLX-D+ Dual Band wireless, fitted with a fixed Beta 87A supercardioid condenser capsule. The Beta 87A is a studio-grade vocal head with a tight supercardioid pattern and a bright, detailed presence rise, the kind of clarity a lead singer or presenter wants front-of-house. It works the license-free 2.4 and 5.8 GHz ranges together for extra bandwidth and clean, interference-resistant transmission.
Power comes from the intelligent SB904 rechargeable lithium-ion battery, included, good for up to 12 hours per charge with a 15-minute quick charge yielding 1.5 hours. The battery tops up in a GLXD4R+ receiver charging bay or over USB while it sits in the mic. This is the transmitter and capsule only; a GLX-D+ receiver is sold separately.
