Sennheiser ME4
The ME 4 is a cardioid clip-on lavalier condenser for Sennheiser's Evolution wireless bodypacks, made for speech in rooms where an omni lavalier would feed back. The cardioid capsule favors the voice directly in front of it and rejects sound from the sides and rear, which lifts intelligibility and lets a presenter work closer to loudspeakers on a live stage. It suits interviews, conferences, television, and lectures where clean speech matters more than a wide sound field.
At about twelve millimeters across, the capsule clips discreetly to clothing and aims at the mouth. It terminates in a locking 3.5 mm connector for Evolution bodypack transmitters and ships in black with a mic clip and windscreen.
