Sennheiser e604 Microphone
The e604 is a cardioid dynamic microphone voiced for drums and percussion, with a compact body that tucks in tight around a kit. Its dynamic capsule shrugs off the extreme sound pressure of a snare or rack tom without complaint, and the cardioid pattern keeps neighboring drums and cymbals out of the channel so each shell stays defined in the mix.
Frequency response runs 40 to 18,000 Hz with a lift in the upper mids that lets a tom cut through a dense arrangement, and no phantom power is needed. The integrated MZH 604 pivoting clamp hooks over a drum rim and locks the mic in position, so a full kit gets miked quickly without a forest of stands crowding the player.
