Rode NTG1 Shotgun Microphone
The NTG1 is a lightweight condenser shotgun microphone designed for the boom and the camera in film, video, and location work. Its highly directional supercardioid pattern reaches past off-axis noise to isolate dialogue and effects, and the low-mass body keeps a boom operator comfortable through long takes.
A switchable 80 Hz high-pass filter cuts wind and handling rumble at the source, and the mic runs on 24V or 48V phantom power over a 3-pin XLR output while drawing very little current. At just 105 g it balances easily in a blimp or on a pistol grip, and it ships with a stand mount, a zippered bag, and a windscreen.
