Rode Blimp Windshield and Shock Mount System

The Blimp is RODE's complete windshield and suspension system for shotgun microphones used outdoors and on location. A rigid basket cage holds the mic inside a wind-defeating chamber, while the Rycote Lyre suspension isolates it from handling and boompole vibration so footsteps and grip noise never reach the track. It accepts most shotgun microphones up to 325 mm long and 19 to 22 mm in diameter, including the RODE NTG series.

The base carries a standard 3/8-inch thread that fits any boompole, and an integrated pistol grip keeps handheld work steady. It ships ready to shoot with the Dead Wombat furry cover for high-wind conditions, a Dead Wombat comb for grooming the fur, and a HexKey screwdriver for adjustments.
