OConnor Cine HD Tripod
The Cine HD is the tall aluminium tripod OConnor puts under its largest heads. It is rated to 309 lb (140 kg), which is not a marketing ceiling but the load a fully built film camera plus a 120EX or 2575E actually presents, and the aluminium construction is chosen for predictable stiffness under that load rather than for weight saving. Height runs from 33.6 in (85.3 cm) to 69.2 in (175.8 cm) and it collapses to 103 cm at 11.1 in (28.2 cm) wide.
Pick the top casting to match the base fitted to your head. The Mitchell version (C1221-0001) is the standard for feature work and mates directly to the Mitchell base and tiedown supplied with the Ultimate head packages. The 150mm bowl version (C1221-0003) levels with the ball rather than the legs, which is faster on location. A spreader is not included; the C1222-0015 floor spreader is the matching part, and the moulded case 08170 is sized for these legs.
