OConnor Tripod Spreader

A spreader is what stops a tripod from walking its legs outward under load, and OConnor cuts a different one for each set of legs rather than selling a universal that fits nothing well. Floor spreaders sit at ground level and give the widest, most stable footprint, which is what you want on a flat stage or studio floor under a heavy head. Mid-level spreaders clamp partway up the legs, so the tripod levels quickly on stairs, slopes and rubble where a floor spreader cannot lie flat.

Match the part to the tripod, not to the head. C1222-0015 is the floor spreader for the Cine HD and Cine HD Baby aluminium legs. C1258-0001 is the floor spreader for the 30L and 60L carbon fiber tripods, and C1252-0001 is their mid-level spreader. The flowtech 100 takes its own carbon fiber pair: C1267-0001 mid-level and C1268-0001 ground. The 30L and 60L mid-level setup normally runs with the 7004 set of three rubber feet.
