OConnor Ultimate 2560 Fluid Head
The 2560 is the 2575's smaller sibling, built for the way digital cinema cameras are actually configured: a body that weighs almost nothing bare and a great deal once the monitor, matte box, follow focus and battery are hung on it. An Alexa in portable build, or a lightweight body from Sony, Canon, ARRI, AJA, JVC, Panasonic, Vision Research or RED loaded out for studio work, are exactly the loads it was drawn around. Capacity is 83 lb (37.7 kg) at a 4 in centre of gravity, 65 lb (29.5 kg) at 6 in and 53 lb (24.1 kg) at 8 in.
Counterbalance is the continuously adjustable OConnor sinusoidal system, so balance holds true at every point across the plus or minus 90 degree tilt range rather than at a handful of notched settings, and the stepless fluid drag gives the same feel from a whip pan to a long lens creep. This listing is the head on its own, without base, pan bar or plate, which is what you order when the bases and handles are already in the kit. The complete package with the Euro style quick release, pan handle, extension and both base and tiedown sets is listed separately as C1260-0001.
