OConnor Mitchell Base
A Mitchell base is what puts an OConnor head onto a Mitchell-topped tripod, hi hat or dolly instead of a ball. On a film set it is usually the default rather than the option, because Mitchell locates positively and does not creep under a heavy tilt the way an under-tightened bowl can.
C1275-1010 is the optional Mitchell base for the 1040, 2560 and 2575 heads. Some head packages ship with it already; where they do not, this is the part. It requires the C1234-1018 Mitchell tiedown and measures 6.8 x 6.8 x 1.1 in (17.3 x 17.3 x 2.8 cm) at 1.5 lb (0.7 kg). C1225-1011 is a different casting and fits the 120EX only.
