OConnor C1262 0002
The DCL is the heavy half of OConnor's dolly pair, built for the Cine and Cine Baby tripods and the film-camera loads that ride on them. Where the DCM handles a 60L, the DCL is rated to 310 lb (140 kg) and rolls on 5 in. castors, which is the difference between a dolly that carries a built-out cine package and one that merely tolerates it. Bigger wheels also matter on location: they ride over a cable run, a threshold, or a rough stage floor that would stop a smaller castor dead.
It works the way the DCM does, just heavier. Track locks switch the castors between free castoring, straight tracking, and tricycle steer, so the dolly will hold a line for a horizontal move on a smooth studio floor instead of wandering. Fast-action foot brakes lock it down, and adjustable cable guards keep cable out from under the wheels. At 15.5 lb it is still a one-person carry, and it folds down to 27.5 in. with a handle built into the frame, so getting it in and out of the truck does not need a second pair of hands.
