Martin VDO Sceptron 10 LED Video Batten
The VDO Sceptron 10 is the tightest-pitch batten in the Sceptron family: one hundred RGB pixels across a 1000 mm extruded aluminium bar, spaced 10 mm apart. That pitch is close enough that the bar reads as a continuous line of light at normal viewing distances, which is why it turns up wrapped around scenic elements, edging LED walls and lining architectural coves. Output is 750 lumens per metre calibrated, at 250 cd per metre, with a 120 by 120 degree viewing angle.
Color is handled at 16 bits per channel, 48 bits per pixel, and the LEDs refresh at 1001 Hz with a 4004 Hz high-refresh mode for camera work. Control is either straight DMX at 3, 10, 13, 22, 103 or 307 channels, or the Martin P3 system controller with video mapping, and the two can be run as a hybrid. Power and data share a 6-pin IP66-rated BBD connector running on 48 VDC, so a run of fixtures daisy-chains from a P3 PowerPort. The housing is IP65 rated for outdoor use and holds up from minus 30 to plus 55 degrees C. This listing is the 1000 mm unit, P/N 90357655; a 320 mm version, P/N 90357650, is also stocked.
