The LINEAR 9 112 XA sits above the LINEAR 5 in the HK Audio range and shows it in the pattern: 70 by 50 degrees rather than 80 by 60, on a rotatable constant directivity horn, so more of the output goes down the room and less onto the walls. The 12-inch cone driver on a 2.5-inch voice coil crosses at 1.6 kHz to a 1-inch compression driver with a 1.7-inch coil, biamped by 700 W RMS of Class D for 128 dB average and 131 dB peak.

Connections are built for a touring rig rather than a single box: powerCON NAC3 in and thru for daisy-chained mains, an XLR/jack combo input with XLR through, a separate DSP output, and Ethercon network in and out for control and monitoring along a run of cabinets.
