Electro-Voice TSS-1 Aluminum Tripod Speaker Stand

The TSS-1 is an all-aluminium tripod speaker stand, which is the practical part: it carries a 150 lb load without weighing like steel, so a pair of them is a reasonable thing to load in and out of a van every week.

The useful detail is the reversible shaft. One end is 34.9 mm (1 3/8 in) tubing, the other is 38 mm (1 1/2 in), so the same stand fits both common pole socket sizes instead of forcing you to stock two sets of stands for two ranges of cabinet. Height adjusts from 1117.6 mm to 1778 mm (44 in to 70 in), which puts a typical 12 or 15-inch top above seated and standing heads.
