HK Audio LINEAR 9 118 Sub A Active 18 inch Subwoofer

The LINEAR 9 118 Sub A is the large subwoofer of the LINEAR 9 system: a single 18-inch cone driver on a 4-inch voice coil in a bass reflex cabinet, biamped by 1100 W RMS of Class D power. It produces 129 dB average and 131 dB peak and reaches 42 Hz at -6 dB, which is where a system stops sounding like tops on sticks and starts moving air.

It is wired to sit at the centre of a rig: two XLR/jack combo inputs, two XLR outputs, a separate DSP output, Ethercon network in and out, and powerCON NAC3 in and thru so several cabinets share one mains run. The DSP preamplifier runs at 96 kHz with RMS and peak limiting and accepts up to +20 dBu at the input. At 91.5 pounds it is a cart item rather than a carry, which is the trade for the output.
