ESE ES-223 Time Code Converter / Generator for PSAP Master Clocks
The ES-223 lets a legally traceable ESE Time Code (TC90) master clock serve as the timing reference for a Public Safety Answering Point, converting that code into the formats a PSAP's other equipment actually speaks: IRIG-B and IRIG-E (switchable modulated or TTL) for recorders and consoles, plus RS-232C Broadcast and Query ports and an RS-485 broadcast output for computer systems, all to NENA standard.
A 1 PPS output gives connected gear a hard timing edge, Time Lock and Time Sync indicators confirm the unit is actually tracking its source, and relay outputs flag loss of power, loss of time sync or loss of time code input so a fault gets noticed immediately. Time zone offset is built in, it ships with software for updating computer clocks over its RS-232C broadcast output, and it lives in a rugged rack-mount enclosure with a UL-approved power supply.
