ESE ES267 LTC to VITC Converter
The ES-267 bridges the two ways video carries timecode. It reads SMPTE or EBU Longitudinal Time Code coming in on a balanced XLR, then encodes that same timecode as Vertical Interval Time Code and inserts it into video looped through the unit. That lets a facility carry timecode inside the picture on the vertical interval, where it survives editing and still-frame in ways LTC does not, without disturbing the program itself.
EBU operation is selectable through an internal DIP switch, and a second internal switch chooses which video lines carry the VITC so it lands where downstream gear expects it. Video passes on a 75-ohm BNC loop-thru, and an optional rack mount is available for installs that need it.
