ESE ES-226 ASCII to ESE / IRIG Time Code Converter
The ES-226 lets a master clock or a computer's own time distribute to the rest of a facility, accepting ASCII Format 0, 1 or 8 as well as NMEA-0183 GPRMC/GPZDA strings on RS-232 or RS-485 and converting them into IRIG-B, IRIG-E (AM or TTL) or ESE-TC90 output. That covers both broadcast timing gear and the IRIG-B voice recorders common in 911 centers from a single converter.
One ES-226 can drive up to 100 slave clocks or video inserters as far as 4000 feet away, with front-panel Lock and Time Sync indicators confirming the input is valid before it is passed on. Baud rate is selectable (9600 standard), it runs on 110-120 VAC standard with a 220-240 VAC option, and single rackmount plus UL options are available.
