ESE ES-225A ESE Time Code to ASCII/RS-232/RS-485 Converter
The ES-225A converts ESE Time Code (TC76, TC89 or TC90) from an ESE master clock or master timer into ASCII on RS-232 or RS-485 levels, which is what lets a computer, voice recorder or other ASCII-only device synchronize to the house time reference. Four ASCII formats are selectable, Format '0', Format '1', ESE 'A' or ESE 'B', to match whatever the receiving equipment expects.
Output runs over a rear DB-9 connector at a selectable baud rate (9600 standard), and a front Time Code Lock indicator confirms the unit is actually receiving valid code before anything downstream trusts it. DOS software ships in the box, with Windows software available, and an optional single rackmount plus 220-240 VAC and UL options round out the fit-and-finish choices.
